Dear sirs,

I very much admire your idea for business aimed at people loving
beauty of such a classics as Piaggio Vespa.

I'm planning to set up a company importing vintage restored scooters
and I'm doing a market research for my business plan at the moment. I
would appreciate if you could provide me with your prices for shipping
to Poland. I would also like to know what is the discount for a
wholesale buy and does the amount of scooters ordered at one time
change the shipping cost.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours Sincerely
Gleb Piatikow

Dear Le,

Many thanks for your fast reply.

In fact we have many in common, cause I also love the vintage design,
and I believe old vehicles have that "something" which new ones are
missing - soul. At the moment I'm rebuilding the 1974 Opel and can't
wait the day I would finally drive it.

I'm proceeding with the paperwork necessary to launch a company, so I
should be contacting you with the order soon. Unfortunately Poland is
still very bureaucratic country, so it takes a few weeks to start.

In the meantime, please tell me few more things I need to know:

1. Is it possible to ship scooters to Cracow (Krakow), not Warsaw? I'm
located there and it would be much easier to collect them locally. You
can see the exact location of the city on GoogleMaps:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=pl&geocode=&q=cracow,+poland&ie=UTF8&ll=50.999929,20.214844&spn=22.562549,59.765625&z=4

2. If I understood correctly, you can offer us trade prices with the
order of 3 Vespas, and then it will be 1600 USD per unit with free
shipping and accessories? That makes the price of 4800 USD including
delivery? If so, it would be just perfect for a start.

3. Do you have all Vespas listed on the website available in stock? If
so, we will choose three models and I would ask you for their
availability and prices in the next e-mail.

4. Could you send me a sample of all documents included with the
scooter? I would like to double check with the departments of
Transport and Customs to avoid any future problems.

5. Concerning the payment, could you specify how exactly the process
look like? I can see on your website that 50% deposit is required to
commence the order. Could we get the pro-forma invoice (by e-mail)
before sending it?

I think that's all for this moment. I'll be in contact with you if
anything else comes up - I just like to have every single detail
sorted when planning business.

PS:
The photo gallery on you website is just amazing. I love to see all
those beauties parked beside each other in the sunlight...

Waiting for your reply.

Best Regards,
Gleb Piatikow

Dear Le,

It's been a while since I contacted you with the idea for doing
business and now we're finally after all necessary procedures here in
Poland and almost ready to make an order.

We would like to check if people will be interested in buying a
vintage scooter. To do so, I want to use some pictures of sample
scooters from your website in a private Internet auction - to see how
many people will ask me a question about it. Can I have your
permission to do that?

I would also like to ask few more things about the scooters:

As far as I know, those types weren't able to mix petrol and oil
automatically, so you had to do it manually before fueling them. Or
maybe you made some kind of modification which does that?

Does 6 months warranty also cover the shipment cost if we will need
any spare parts?

Do you also provide vintage helmets?

The shipment cost of 400 USD is charged per 1 scooter, or per order?
How much will it cost to ship two scooters to Warsaw? What's the
discount if the container amount is ordered and how many scooters will
fit into a container?

Is there a need to register a scooter in Vietnam? I ask about this,
because it's important for registering a vehicle in Poland. If it
weren't registered in your country I will have to prepare different
documents for registration. Does scooters come with their registration
books?

We would like to start with the order of two items with accessories.
If that will succeed we will order at least three items in the next
order and more again in the next one. Our aim is to create a scooter
showroom in some time. We strongly believe this idea is a good and
profitable one, because there's no company in Poland having similar
offer at the moment.

So can you offer us trade prices for an order of 2 scooters with accessories?

I believe we can decide which models we would like to order before the
end of this week. We will be sending money via direct bank transfer,
so I will need your company address details, your bank details (name
and address), the account number (preferably in IBAN format if you use
it) and SWIFT (BIC) code.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

shipping a container and further discount for the scooter for an order of 18
scooter which will fit into a 20ft container as well as you saving customs

scooter.
All our scooters are registered in Vietnam and with each scooter you will
receive a police de-registered certificate as proof of each scooter for
clearance and registration when you receive them. All documents will
indicate the engine and frame numbers for check for their originality.

Hello Le,

Hope you're well.

We decided which scooters we would like to order, these are:

Lambretta17
http://vespaxporter.com/eng/?_task=product_details&pro_id=203
and Vespa Mini 50CC-04
http://vespaxporter.com/eng/?_task=product_details&pro_id=209

Speaking about Lambretta:
I would like it just as it is on the pictures on your website. The only add-ons to that would be an electric starter and a chrome handle bars. And, if it's possible, I would be very happy of a "twisted stand" like the one on attached picture (stand.jpg). You used it in the Acma model: http://vespaxporter.com/eng/?_task=product_details&pro_id=318 and I just just fall in love with it browsing you website :) I can see the Lambretta has a slightly different model of stand, but maybe it will be possible to modify it like the one on the picture.

Speaking about Vespa Mini:
My friend chose a Vespa 50 to make our offer more convenient for people without a motorcycle driving license (in Poland you can drive 50cc's without it). We would like to know is there a possibility of adding a front glass to it and a small trunk on a back, like for an A4-format exercise book? We would like it in the "British Racing Green" color - it's the one that was on the old Mini Coopers, we can try to look for a specific color code if you don't have it. We would like the seat is ecru-color leather, without any variations. As for an add-ons, it's an electric starter, chrome handle bars, one chrome mirror (left), chrome stand, chrome engine cover, chrome edge of the front fender, chrome rims (and the inside of the wheel in ecru, just like the seat). And another thing is a metal floor cover (not the rubber one), like in this model: http://vespaxporter.com/eng/?_task=product_details&pro_id=315. We would like the Mini without the spare wheel (it can be detached).

I understand that dust cover is free to every scooter? There is a "cargo shipping insurance" available on your website - could you tell us some more about it, what exactly is covered by that?

After we order, we would like to receive pictures of the several stages of works:
- original scooters before restoration,
- after dismantlement,
- during the mechanical restoration, painting, etc.,
- during assembly process,
- after assembling.

Ok, so I guess that's all for now. Please look at the details we specified and tell us the price for models we decided to order, including accessories and shipment. Afterwards we'll ask you for a pro-forma invoice for a half of the amount, as you previously told us, so you can start working on the order.

Best Regards,
Gleb Piatikow

Hello Le,

Great to hear back from you.

We're happy about the discount you gave us on scooters. As because
there was no front-glass for Vespa on the invoice I understand you
don't have them. Am I right? Also, we didn't mean "rear racks" for
Vespa, but a small trunk you can put something inside. If you don't
have it, it's no problem. The color is "british racing green" - do you
want us to email you the color code in RGB or Pantone specifications?
I found it's Pantone 5535, but we can try to be more specific.

We would like to get cargo shipping insurance so please add that. Did
you check is Krakow the possible place of destination, or is it only
Warsaw?

Please send me the new pro-forma invoice including the changes above.
The company data for the invoice is:
RETRO MOTORS, ul. Szlachtowskiego 17/25, 30-132 Krakow, Poland. If
everything is correct we will ask you for another pro-forma invoice
for 50% of the amount to make a transfer that you can start work.

Hi Le,

Great news about the windshield.

I can see the cargo insurance on the invoice is 50 USD per scooter,
however on your website it's 150 USD. Is it because of a discount or
is it a different one?

The invoice includes shipping to port of Warsaw, but the "ship to"
address is in Krakow. Please specify where can you ship the scooters:
If it can be Krakow it's perfect (I'll give you the warehouse
address). If it's Warsaw, could you tell me what's the exact place of
delivery or what company operates deliveries in Poland?

We received our Tax Identification Number (NIP) today and I would like
it to be placed on the invoice, so please update our details:

RETRO MOTORS
ul. Feliksa Szlachtowskiego 17/25
30-132 Krakow, POLAND

Hello Le,

It's been 6 weeks already after you started working on our order and we didn't get even a single picture since. We're surprised, because it looks different to what we agreed, and with the vision of future cooperation it doesn't seem to be serious.

Could you please explain the reason for such a delay?

We have our costs because of preparing marketing basis and running the company, which was set-up especially for the scooter business, and if the scooters will arrive later than we planned, the season will be over and selling them would be much harder. I'm sure you understand that.

We would like to know what is the status of our order at the moment, and what is the realistic date of finishing it and shipping the scooters to us. We would also like to get the pictures from different stages of works, to place them on the website.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
